WARNING: Spoilers, yes again.
This is a great movie for children and adults, especially if you're an adult like me.
The Road to El Dorado came out in 2000 and was produced and released by Dreamworks Pictures, it included voice actors such as Kevin Kline, Kenneth Branagh and Rosie Perez.
It's a story about two eccentric Spanish adventurers named Miguel and Tulio who win a map to the legendary city of El Dorado, or The City of Gold, but before they can follow the map they are captured by Cortes, who is also searching for the city, and kept in the gallows of a ship sailing for new lands before a flamboyant horse helps them escape in exchange for an apple.

They spend a few weeks lost at sea before somehow washing up on the beaches of a jungle which Miguel realizes has the first land mark on the map.
They start following the trail of the map and get lost a lot but, through no shortage of luck, they eventually end up finding El Dorado all thanks to a little thief named Chel.
When they arrive the high priest, Tzekel-Kan believes them to be gods that are ushering in the Age of the Jaguar and they manage to play along as they are worshiped and feared by all the locals.
Unfortunately Tzekel-Kan begins to suspect them when they will not accept human sacrifices as tribute but the final straw is when he notices Miguel bleeding and declares to himself and his henchman that gods do not bleed.
After this the priest tries his utmost to destroy them and the people who disrespected him but they defeat him and throw him out the back door of the city, regrettably the priest runs into Cortes and decides to lead him to El Dorado.

This film was so funny and well animated for its time, I still enjoyed it 20 years later. It has great musical numbers (Which I'm told is not normal to enjoy when you're past twelve but whatever) as well as great voice actors and I think it was a fresh take on the classic story of the legendary City of Gold.
I hope that if you haven't seen it yet that you will now.
Thanks for reading xx
