I absolutely adore this movie. There should be no spoilers since it is quite an old movie.
If you haven't seen it yet then there is definitely nothing wrong with you, cause this is weird and anybody who has seen it and liked it will probably still agree with me, because they are probably just as mad as this movie.

The Nightmare Before Christmas came out in 1993 and it is a stop-motion animated musical that skips between Halloween and Christmas themes. It was directed by Henry Selick and conceived and produced by Tim Burton, it has a 8/10 on IMDB and a 95% on Rotten Tomatoes.
The plot is built around Jack Skellington "The Pumpkin King" (Voiced by Chris Sarandon; singing voice of Danny Elfman) who grows tired of the same old terrifying Halloween Town celebration and planning. During a nostalgic walk through the forest he finds a set of doors that lead to different holiday towns such as Thanksgiving and Easter, he is pulled through Christmas Town's door and is delighted with the joy and presents that are shown there and he decides to bring that back to Halloween Town.

At home the towns people are having trouble understanding the concept of joy and giving and so they put a Halloween twist on every type of Christmas tradition that you can think of. They put headless dolls in stockings and bones in the wreaths which of course will cause some pretty terrible Christmas day memories.
They also decide that, in order for their Christmas to work, they will need to stop the real Santa Clause from delivering his silly presents. They decide to capture him and in a deeply misguided idea the henchman children of Oogie Boogie (Ken Page) deliver him to the monsters lair where he terrorizes poor Santa.
During Christmas Eve Jack is delivering the horrifying presents to children around the world and is shot at by the military when he realizes that there is a reason for the different towns and their holidays and that it is best to stick to what you know.
All in all, this movie is pretty weird and I would not recommend it for children because it is rather creepy. However it is one of my favorite movies and if you're over twelve then it is definitely worth a watch.
Thanks for reading xx
