WARNING: Definite Spoilers Ahead!

This book is one of the best that I have ever read.

I got it as a Christmas present the year after I finished high school and I read it in less than a day. It's like a really good roller coaster. It can make you scream, cry or laugh, depending on what part of the ride you're on.

The Fault In Our Stars is written by John Green and it is a multi-million best seller. It also won the Goodreads Choice Awards Best Young Adult Fiction as well as the Audie Award for Teens.

There was a movie adaptation in 2014, featuring Shailene Woodley, Ansel Elgort and Nat Wolff as the lead roles. The film received an 81% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 7.7/10 on IMDB, it was directed by Josh Boone and has John Green as screen advisor.

The book is centered and narrated by 16 year old Hazel Grace Lancaster who has thyroid cancer that's affected her lungs and forces her to carry an oxygen tank around with her.

She is forced by her parents to attend a support group where she meets Augustus "Gus" Waters who immediately infuriates her and forces her to take a different point of view on the world.

The pair soon start to fall in love as with most young adults and the author really shows you how excruciatingly painful it can be to have a life threatening disease and yet still want to be loved by the cute boy with the sweet smile.

Gus does his best to cheer Hazel up throughout the book where he shows her just how beautiful life can be, even if it might be short.

He takes her to Amsterdam to meet her hero, an author, they support their friend who has lost both his eyes to cancer by egging his ex girlfriends car and they help each other through the bad days and enjoy the good days together.

This book is an amazing literary work that every young woman should read, it shows us just how amazing life can be if we just live it when we get the chance and not dwell on the past or the future because we cannot control either one.

I absolutely adore this author and I have read most of his books, they are all amazing and you should definitely think about reading his books if you enjoyed the movie.

Trust me, this time the books are very close to the movie.

Thanks for reading xx
