Warning: Possible Spoilers..
This one is a series.
Sex Education is a series on #Netflix that has two season so far, according to #DigitalSpy the third was set to come out January 2021 but has now been delayed due to COVID-19. It has a mature audience rating on Netflix and is not recommend to teens younger than 17. I would also not recommend watching this series around parental figures or anyone else for that matter. It is great but can be quite awkward sometimes.
Sex Education is centered around Otis Milburn whose mother is a sex therapist and has its own set of problems for the poor boy. Otis decides to run a sex therapy shop out of the abandoned buildings behind his school with the help of edgy rebel, Maeve Wiley.

Together they try to fix the truly enormous amount of problems and misconceptions that their schools teens experience with the opposite sex which ends in them becoming friends and also making a killing. While they run their business Eric (Otis' best friend) struggles with his sexuality and being accepted by his family. He ends up deciding that he needs to be himself no matter what and he has Otis as well as his father to support him along the way.
Maeve struggles with her dim witted best friend Aimee Gibbs, who is just a darling, and her rent as her mother has run away again and left her to fend for herself, which explains her willingness to help Otis.

This series has an abundance of complicated and real characters that really make you think about what it's like to be a teen in the modern world and all the problems that obviously come along with it. I love the way that they approached different sexualities and the way that they all stood together through the tough spots.
I won't go too into detail on season 2 but I will say that I really appreciated the way they showed feminism and the way they dealt with being sexually assaulted. It can be a real problem for young women and teens and I for one do not condone it at all, just like Maeve, we should never dismiss anyone's experiences as fake and we should be there to support them no matter what.
Anyone who feels left out or just needs a bit of a laugh would enjoy this series and I highly recommend it, not only is it heart warming and thought provoking but it also made me laugh a lot.
Let me know what you thought of this one or if you've watched it before.
Thanks for reading xx
