Warning: This one is legit, since this is a newish film.

Here goes nothing...

Greetings knight, thank ye kindly for joining my conversation about the quest of brothers.

Okay, I'm done being weird now. You'll get it once you watch the movie, trust me.

This movie is made by Disney and Pixar Studios and was released in February 2020.

Brand spanking new!

Onward is about two elf brothers, Ian and Barely, who set out on a quest to find a Phoenix Stone so that they can correct a spell gone wrong and speak to their dearly departed father.

Although there is a catch, they have to use magic.

I know this sounds silly since they are of course elves but their magical world isn't so magical anymore and almost everything has lost its sparkle.

Don't even get me started on the unicorns!

I adore the character of Barley, the goofy elder brother who tries his best to support his little brother and believes in him more than he believes in himself. He kind of reminds me of myself in a way, the love of mythical games could be the source.

Ian, being the younger brother who never met his father, just wants to meet and spend some time with his father and maybe get some life advice, share some laughs and all the normal things that we take for granted with our own parents.

I guess this movie really talks to me because it made me think that we should always appreciate what we've got and not lose that in pursuit of what we want.

The animation on this is great, as can be expected of most Disney and Pixar movies nowadays. I loved the story line, it is such a fresh look on magic in the modern world and how we perceive it.

The movie also touches on what its like to grow up without one of your parents and how the void can be filled and that really spoke to me on a personal level. Literally brought tears to my eyes.

The movie has an 88% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 7.5/10 on IMDB so if I haven't convinced you, maybe they can.

Thanks for reading xx
