My Top 5 Quarantine Snacks

We are all suffering a bit during this pandemic.

Some of us live in apartments without yards or we aren't allowed to go to the gym or the mall, regardless of how we are self isolating, we are probably all snacking. Like a lot.

So here are my top 5 favorite quarantine snacks (some of which are even pretty healthy)

1: Popcorn

I am a huge fan of popcorn.

It always reminds me of the cinema and who doesn't love eating most of their popcorn before the movie even starts?

Besides, popcorn is relatively healthy as the only bad thing in it is the oil or butter that you pop it in and it's quite filling as well, so it's a great snack to have when you don't wanna pick up weight but you really need to munch on something.

2: Apples

I am particularly fond of green apples, the sour kind, and I almost always have a few in my house. They are healthy and rich in potassium, phosphorus, calcium, manganese, magnesium, iron and zinc. Apples also contain vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, C, E, K, folate and niacin. Right? that's a lot of good stuff but if you prefer a less sour taste then you can always add a tablespoon of peanut butter or get some sweet, red apples.

3: Oranges

I adore oranges!

I am super lazy when it comes to peeling them though so they can be a bit annoying too. I am often sniffley during winter season and I found that vitamin C helps me a lot so I tend to chow on these whenever autumn and winter come around. They are of course rich in vitamin C as well as potassium, folate and thiamine.

4: Chips

You didn't think that all of it would be healthy did you?

I love chips, especially salt and cheese flavored ones.

I can easily eat a whole bag on my own, which is why I try to stay away from them generally but during the lock down I have kind of thrown caution to the wind.

However if you just have half a hand full or so then it's not that unhealthy and so very yummy.

5: Provitas

Okay, hear me out.

I know provitas can be gross on their own, but if you put some cheese or cold meat on them they can be amazing.

I particularly like them with Bovril and thinly sliced cheese and it's probably one of my favorite snacks for after lunch.

Although I would never eat them on their own since they are drier than the Sahara.

Let me know what you guys are munching on in the comments.

Thanks for reading xx
