These are my top 5 favorite books, I admit maybe not of all time but they will always be in the top 10.
I'm not going to be ranking these according to numbers as I am miserably horrible at that since I can never decided on my number one favorite. Here goes nothing.

The Hobbit by J.R.R Tolkien
This book was such a great read. It has everything that you could ever ask for in a mythical tale of adventure.
#TheHobbit is the prequel to The Lord of the Rings trilogy and definitely a must read for fans of those books (or movies)
J.R.R Tolkien was actually born in Bloemfontein in South Africa which is pretty cool. He was also friends with C.S Lewis who was the author of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. Tolkien must be the only author who invented a language and then decided to write a story around the language itself. The Hobbit has wizards, dwarves, hobbits (Duh) and dragons and is an amazing book that stayed with me for quite a long time after I read it because of the incredible descriptions and writing style. Definitely would recommend this book to anyone who hasn't read it yet, after asking if they have been living under a rock lately.

The Wren Hunt by Mary Watson
This book is all about hidden magic, secrets and plots. I absolutely loved it and it quickly skipped past most of the books I read on its way to my heart. The book basically follows Wren who is literally hunted by a group of boys called the judges every year on St Stephen's Day in Ireland. She has to do her best to try and outsmart them and to keep the fact that she is an auger (Their sworn enemy) a secret because if it was revealed the cruel game would turn deadly.
Every year Wren tries to get the better of the boys and get away before they can catch her but they always seem to be stronger or faster which infuriates her.
This is one of those books that pulls you in and doesn't let you go until it's finished, maybe not even then. I love the perspective that #MaryWatson wrote in as well as the original story line.

The Fault in our Stars by John Green
This book is amazing. It will make you cry until you cannot open your eyes and it will make you laugh until your sides hurt. It follows Hazel and Augustus who both have cancer of some type in their own personal infinity as they fall in love. It high lights the struggles that young people who have cancer go through and how they cope with it all but the best part about it is that it almost never mentions their cancer, because they are not their sickness and they never will be. This amazing book is way better than any love story Shakespeare ever wrote and if you haven't read it yet then you are missing out, big time!
#JohnGreen is an amazing author and I have since read almost all of his books and he never disappoints me.

The Changeling by Helen Falconer
Aoife was just like any other teenager until she finds out that she is the changeling left behind in the real world and that her parents aren't her own. Shocked and frightened she turns to Shay who might be the only person who will believe her and together they embark on an epic journey into the world of the fay.
I love #HelenFalconer's take on changelings, since I haven't ever read a story about them from the perspective of the changeling.
The world of the fay is also described beautifully and it almost makes me wish I was a changeling just so that I could visit what sounds like a magnificent world.

City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
This book was amazing in its own special way. It pulled me in immediatly and made me want to be a Shadow Hunter more than anything. "All the legends are true" became my new catch phrase and I often found myself wondering if they were indeed all true and what I would do if they were.
#CassandraClare is an amazing author who can make you feel the way the characters are feeling at any given moment. She describes everything so well I almost felt as if I was there and I was bitterly disappointed when I discovered that I wasn't.
Bonus point: For those of you book lovers who take pride in your book case, these books have gorgeous spines who correspond with each other to form a New York skyline once you have the full set.
One of the best series of books I have ever read and definitely some of my favorite characters.
I hope you enjoyed my list, let me know what your top 5 is.
Thanks for reading xx
