This movie made me cry at least four times and I loved it.

Instant Family came out in 2018 as a comedy drama which was directed by Sean Anders, Anders based the screen [lay partly on his own experiences and it makes for amazing viewing. The film got a 7.3/10 on IMDB and an amazing 81% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The film is about a family who decides to become foster parents in order to adopt instead of conceiving their own children.

Pete (Mark Wahlberg) and Ellie Wagner (Rose Byrne) are house flippers and decide to start a family after Ellie's sister suggests that they are a bit too old to start now.

They begin the process of going through the proper paperwork and start searching for their future kids, they are rather impressed when a teenager by the name of Lizzy (Isabela Moner) stands up to them and tells them to get over their pity for the teenagers and just leave them alone.

When they inquire about her they discover that she comes with two younger siblings, Juan (Gustavo Escobar) and Lita (Julianna Gamiz). They try to back out since three kids is obviously not what they signed up for but in the end they take all of them.

For the first few days it is all sunshine and rainbows the Pete and Ellie as they try to make the children feel at home but that soon changes and chaos ensues as they become proper parents. Lita does nothing but scream when she doesn't get her way, Juan is accident prone and is constantly hurting himself while Lizzy refuses to listen to her foster parents or to let them parent her younger siblings as they should be.

Lizzy makes life incredibly difficult for the poor Wagners and tries her best to get back to her mother who has just recently got out of jail, despite the fact that the Wagners are better parents and can help them more in their futures.

This was an unbelievably heart warming movie with great acting, which can be expected from Wahlberg and Byrne, and it is definitely a must see for future foster parents or even people who don't understand how tough it can be for those children and their families.

Thanks for reading xx
