Today is the first day that we are teaching and learning from home in my province.

Since the pandemic that broke out, our schools have been stretched to the breaking point.

We have had to learn to use Google Classroom, which has turned out to be difficult and time consuming but very rewarding.

We have had to learn discipline in ourselves and try to teach it to others.

We have had to learn that if something is difficult we will have to look for the solution on our own, we can no longer lean over and ask our neighbor or put up your hand and ask the teacher.

We are, of course, not alone.

Everybody went through these problems.

People struggled with signal and WiFi.

Students struggled with discipline and work ethic.

Teachers struggled with technology.

We all struggled with something but in this, our struggle, we were close.

Today marks a whole new type of struggle for us.

We know how the technology works and we know how to get our work done.

We don't know how long this will be the status quo.

We don't know when things will be 'normal' again.

We don't know what the future holds for us.

All we can do now is take life one day at a time.

We need to look to the goodness, to the hope that spreads throughout our lives.

We need to think of all the good times and look forward to more of them.

We endure what is unbearable and we bear it. -Magnus Bane.

All we can do is look forward and hope that our tomorrows are better than our today.

Thanks for reading xx
