Mostly fiction. From John Green to Cassandra Clare and everything in between.

Reading right now versus books that have always stayed with me.

Cassandra Clare, John Green, Nora Roberts, L.J Smith and many more

Reading right now

My current book that I have been loving is Cassandra Clare's Queen of Air and Darkness.

The books has more than 900 pages and I have really struggled to hold it above my head late at night as I'm devouring the action packed pages. I absolutely love the world of Shadowhunters and I wish now more than ever that there was a way to visit these wonderful worlds thought up by these amazing authors. I don't want to give too much about the book away, especially since I have not finished it yet. I would like to say that it is the third part of a trilogy by #CassandraClare called The Dark Artifices. It centers around Emma Carstairs and Julian Blackthorn who live at the Los Angeles institute as parabatai. I am loving these books and I strongly recommend that every young adult girl should read them.

Books that have stayed with me

“Her soul belongs to words and books. Every time she reads, she is home.

One of the authors that books stay with me, emotionally, for a very long time, are John Green's books. I'm sure that a large majority of young adults and teens have read his famously crushing book "The Fault in Our Stars" and if you haven't then you should definitely consider giving it a read. I received it as a Christmas present the year that I had just finished high school and I think it took me less than 24 hours to read. It was heart breakingly beautiful and I often think of the way it inspired me and made me want to be able to so completely capture someone's attention as #JohnGreen had captured my attention.

One of my all time favorite quotes from this book is when Hazel reads a letter from Augustus saying "You don't get to choose if you get hurt in this world...but you do have some say in who hurts you. I like my choices."

This is a beautiful moment in the book and it really forced me to think about my own life and who I allowed to hurt me. I think it helped me determine that I was allowing too many people to hurt me and for no reason whatsoever except that I had honestly never thought of it that way before.

Conclusion

There are so many other books that I would like to discuss with you all and I dearly hope that we get the time.

Thanks for reading xx
